I started 2010 with a simple business idea and ended 2010 with proper business that has generated enough profit for me to pay myself.
There is no doubt that it has been a very trying year and at many points I was close to having to throw in the towel because of lack of money, but somehow at the last minute I would scrape together just enough to see me through the month.
Starting my own business has taken up 95% of my time and 100% of my head space and as a result my social life has died; this is something I plan on rectifying on 2011, there will be more adventure and more social activities; obviously that will need to be worked around my business goals for 2011.
So what are my goals for 2011:
- Grow my business to 500 paying customers
- Acquire the skills and knowledge to become a true Software Engineer
- Buy a new car (Using a hand-me-down my sister gave me)
- Return to having some kind of social life
- Cut 2 dubplates
- Work hard at the gym to get myself down to 100kg
- Start work on some mobile application (iPhone, Android and Windows Mobile 7)
- Blog 3 times a week
So there you have it, I'm going to make sure that this time next year I come back to this post and evaluate what I have achieved during the 2011.
